FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What shot will my pet need to stay with you

Rabies can be 1 year or 3 yr.
Parvo/Distemper  Annual
Bordetella  Either 6 months or Annual depending on your vet preference.

Is there someone onsite 24 hours a day:

We do have an onsite apartment with staff available for overnight guests. We do not offer off hours drop off or pick up as it could disturb the guests as they settle in from a long day of play and activity.

Does my dog need their ears plucked or their anal sac expressed?

Part of our regular grooming routine is to check ears and anal sacs. Your personal vet should be asked for their expectations for those two areas. We will alert you to any issues we see so that you can have it addressed at your next appointment.

Ear canals should be clean and clear of hair. They should not have a discharge, oder, redness or swelling. We will clip the hair directly in front of the opening and pluck any hair easily removed.

We check for any swelling, discharge, or oder  in the area of your pets anal sac. Our purpose is to let you know if it looks like any issues that your vet may need to address. Many veterinarians do not want the

anal sac manipulated as it can cause problems. There is very good information on Petmd: Anal Glands on Dogs; what you need to know.

Hours of Operation:

Sunday: Not open during our morning walks and feeding.  Open at the end of our evening walks. 5:30 to 6 pm.
Monday through Friday:  7:30 am to 6 pm
Saturday: 8 am to 12 noon and 5:30 to 6 pm

Do you offer grooming for overnight guests?

We do offer grooming for our Boarder that will be heading home. It is best to schedule that appointment as you make your boarding reservations as our schedule is tight and usually a few weeks down the road.

What can I bring with my pet?

You may bring any personal items that might help your pet feel more comfortable over night: favorite toy, blanket, snack, sometimes a hoodie or jacket that you wear. We have everything your pet needs but some times they like finding “their stuff” in their run when they come in for snack and bedtime.
